Lawn Care
The Grass is Greener on Your Side
Our landscaping team will mow, aerate, compost, and seed the lawn around your home.
Our dynamic team specializes in lawn care to help your grass stay healthy, whether it is new sod or a well-established lawn. Keeping a beautiful lawn in Montana is no easy task, but by cleaning up your lawn in the spring and scheduling lawn services through the summer, we can make your property stand out.
Mowing & Trimming
Big Sky Landscaping’s lawn care specialist will mow your lawn, take special care to trim your lawn around any landscaped features, and trim any native grasses in the fall. Our team will also spring clean, which includes cleanup of leaves, trash, or debris that may have accumulated during winter months. We survey your lawn’s growing conditions and build a mowing schedule tailored to your unique property. Services are provided on a regular schedule from April to October (weather permitting).
Cutting Back for the Fall
At the end of the summer, native grasses tend to dry out and leave matted duff that suffocates new growth in the spring. Our team will cut back tall grasses around your home so new growth can spring to life the following year. Fall cutbacks also mitigate the wildfire risk around your property by reducing the amount of combustible dead grass during the wildfire season.
Aeration
Lawn aeration is a process by which air, water, and nutrients are circulated through your lawn after puncturing holes into the lawn’s compact and anaerobic soil. This lawn care process alleviates the soil compaction that occurs over Big Sky’s winter season. Our aerations services will help your lawn establish deeper roots, leading to an overall healthier lawn.
Organic Composting & Overseeding
Compost is a type of natural fertilizer that helps to enhance your lawn by adding key nutrients into the topsoil, improving root health, and introducing microorganisms that help reduce erosion. Our team will spread compost evenly across your lawn, so your grass is supported throughout its life cycle.
Native grass overseeding brings resilience into your landscape by creating harmony between your property and the natural surroundings. Seeding your lawn with native grasses supports the local ecosystem, reduces noxious weeds, and provides essential habitats for native wildlife.
